Beautiful work. The night sky and
colors are great. Your illustrations have a really nice style to them.

What a powerfully emotive piece?! This is beautiful in a soft, poetic way. I would buy this book for my 2 sons, based on the artwork alone. Thanks for sharing!

Steve, glad to see you've got your blog going again, and so much work posted. Yowza! I love what you're doing for Core Knowledge. Really terrific stuff all around. I'm a fan. I've attached a link to your site. Hope that's okay.

I don't know if I ever told you, but I love your book more than most things except maybe life itself. I think that this finished illustration is one of the very best, loveliest, and most subtle paintings you've ever done, and the story and language that accompanies it remind me a bit of Hans Christian Anderson or one of Wilde's fairy tales. If it doesn't get published I will say "Ih! Ih!"
